GIVING TO ST. MARY’S…

The Advancement office exists to raise funds and other resources to support the academic, capital and foundation needs of the school. This is done through the Annual Drive, Auction, Fun Run and other special events, capital campaigns and planned giving. The office also communicates the school’s mission, vision and activities both internally and externally through weekly bulletins, various publications, website, etc.

Growing in Knowledge, Nurtured by Faith (Annual Drive)
Gifts are raised from parents, grandparents, parishioners, alumni, friends, foundation and corporations, and help meet St. Mary’s operating expenses. These important annual contributions help to fund academics, faculty salaries, fair share, and building and grounds maintenance. The Annual Drive helps make up the difference between tuition and the increasing costs of running a school.

Auction Gifts are raised from a Live and Silent Auction held annually where parents, grandparents, parishioners, alumni, friends and corporations gather to celebrate the legacies of our school and parish community.  The funds raised also go to the operating budget of the school, and Tuition Angel and Fund-an-Item options.

Fun Run
Gifts are raised from parents, grandparents, parishioners, alumni, friends, businesses and corporations, and help meet St. Mary’s operating expenses. These important annual contributions help to fund academics, faculty salaries, fair share, and building and grounds maintenance. The Fun Run helps make up the difference between tuition and the increasing costs of running a school.  The "Donate" button is usable for online donations from Sept 1-Oct 31 each year.

Breezeway Building Fund
Gifts are raised from parents, grandparents, Parishioners, alumni, friends and businesses to improve safety and security on the school campus - enclosing the breezeway.

Anyone who has been watching the news for the last few years knows that increasing security in schools is a top priority.  It has been something that we have been working on improving at St. Mary as well. We are finally at the brink of being able to take the biggest step of all in improving safety and security on the campus - enclosing the breezeway, but we need your help.  The cost of the enclosure is $400,000. We need just $75,000 more to be able to make this dream a reality!

We are asking that you prayerfully consider making a pledge to helping us reach this goal. All gifts will help reach the objective!  Any family that is able to give $1,000 will be remembered with their name engraved on a brick in the courtyard in front of the school.

Please help us build for a safer, more secure future.

Matching Gifts Occur when participating companies match the amount of dollars given to St. Mary’s by their employees and spouses or retirees.  The company matches the gift only after the donor has sent his or her gift to St. Mary’s along with the company’s matching gift form.  These forms can be obtained from the Human Resource department of most companies.

Planned Gifts Are a long-term method of supporting the school, in which a gift’s use by St. Mary’s is postponed until a specific future date.  An example of a planned gift would be naming St. Mary’s as a beneficiary in one’s will.  Other planned giving options include charitable remainder unitrusts, life insurance policies, and transfers of residence and personal property where the donor retains a life estate.

LEGO Robotics
Is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) program where students develop problem solving skills as creative members of a team.  The kids design, build and program a robot to complete various tasks autonomously and compete for points against other schools from around the area in the First LEGO League.   In 2018, both St. Mary´s teams advanced to the state competition at EWU.
One team, the LEGO Superheroes, scored the highest points in the robot game at the state competition and are advancing to the FLL LEGOLAND California International Open in Carlsbad, California this May.  Your donation will help them get to the competition and show the world that girls can do!
